This is What Happens When We Rush To Appease

with 2 comments

Well now we see what happens when the idiots in power rush to appease the masses and further their own causes and political careers.
Every law enforcement officer, active and retired, come this March, will be in violation of the new gun laws in New York State.
Every law enforcement officer (including the governors security detail) carrying a fifteen round magazine could technically be arrested.
This is why we don’t enact bills and pass laws because of knee jerk reactions. Has everyone lost their minds? These are the people who represent us? Fools!
There was no reason for this.

No More Gun Violence in New York (Starting Tomorrow)

with one comment

Oh what a great day!
Once the New York State Senate votes today to pass some of the nations strictest gun laws, there’ll be no more gun violence in New York.
No more armed robberies, no more shootings, no more crimes of any kind involving guns in New York. Tomorrow should be a very quiet, peaceful day.

Isn’t it funny how it’s easier to pass laws effecting law abiding citizens than it is to face the very real problem of illegal gun possession and go after the criminals?
Talk about selling false hope.

Are People That Stupid?

leave a comment »

So I wonder; Do the people being interviewed today at 135 Street and Frederick Douglas Boulevard in NYC by 10-10 WINS, really believe for a minute, that stricter gun laws will take illegal guns off the street and make them safer?
Can people really be that stupid?
(Rhetorical question-we all know the answer is yes.)

Those That Cannot Remember The Past Are Condemned To Repeat It (When Will We Ever Learn)

On the afternoon of February 26, 1993, Islamic terrorist Ramzi Yousef parked a Ryder truck in the basement of the North Tower of the World Trade Center and detonated an explosive that killed six people and injured over one thousand more. Ramzi Yousef was not Christian or Jewish. He was not a Buddhist, a Mormon or a Baptist. He was a Muslim. Upon his illegal entry into the United States, Yousef took up residence in New Jersey.

On September 11, 2001, nineteen Islamic terrorists boarded four airplanes and carried out the worst terrorist attack to ever occur on American soil.  The nineteen terrorists were not Christians.  They were not Jewish. They were not Buddhists, Mormons or Baptists. They were Muslims.  Tickets for at least one of the hijacked flights were purchased in New Jersey.  Flight 93 took off from Newark International Airport. Of the almost three thousand people that were killed on September 11, 2001, six hundred and ninety four were residents of New Jersey.

In June 2010, two New Jersey residents were arrested at JFK International Airport as they were about to board flights to Egypt. The two had intentions of joining up with Islamic terrorists to wage war with The United States. It has been reported that they were discovered and exposed by an undercover NYPD officer.

The FBI and Law Enforcement were highly criticized in the days following September 11, 2001. More could’ve been done.  More should’ve been done to protect every citizen of this country. Why ten years after these attacks we feel the need to have to apologize to anyone for due diligence is beyond any comprehension. Shame on Eric Holder. Shame on New Jersey Governor Christie.

The FBI, The NYPD and all other Federal, State and local law enforcement is tasked with protecting everyone, regardless of religion or race. Lest we forget that several dozen innocent Muslims were also killed on September 11, 2001?

Without  getting into why this topic should not even be discussed in public, the only thing Eric Holder and Gov. Christie should be saying is that, “Yes we are currently involved in undercover surveillance and intelligence gathering within the Muslim community.  We will continue with these operations until such a time that there is no longer a threat from within that community.  You are either with us or against us.  There is no middle ground here.”

The citizens of the state of New Jersey and the country should be calling for the resignations of both Holder and Christie.  Their comments have proven that their concern is not that of ALL Americans but rather that of a vocal minority.  We can not and should not kowtow to any one group, thereby putting everyone in harms way.

This is not a question of wrongfully arresting anyone or violating one’s civil rights.  It is not a call to discriminate or harm anyone from any specific group.  It is a case of being ever vigilant in the war on terrorism.  We were attacked by Islamic extremists who were Muslim.  Common sense should dictate that that is where the attention should be focused.

The FBI has said that the “secret spying” has damaged Muslims’ trust.  A pretty good argument could be made that September 11 damaged America’s trust.

As George Bush said, “Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.” There is no middle ground.

Could you imagine a group of Italians up in arms at the FBI or NYPD or any other law enforcement agency for having undercover officers infiltrate the Mafia?

Wake up America……………………………..It’s time to demand more from our elected officials.

God Bless the United States of America.

Common Sense Not a Requirement for Principals

with 2 comments

There really needs to be a zero tolerance policy for lack of common sense in this world.

Evelyn Matroianni, principal at PS 52 in Staten Island, New York, wanted to suspend a nine year old student yesterday for bringing a toy gun to school.

The New York City Department of Education has a “no toy gun” policy and Ms. Matroianni was not about to look the other way and allow the student to violate the zero tolerance rule.

There was only one problem. The toy gun, which was less than two inches in size, actually belonged to the LEGO policeman that the boy had brought to school to play with.

It was only after Ms. Matroianni contacted the Department of Education’s security administrator that the boy was pardoned and the LEGO policeman and gun were released into the custody of his mother.

Ms. Matroianni is an idiot and has no business being principal of a school. She displayed a total lack of common sense and has demonstrated that she is obviously incapable of making any important decisions on her own.

While the New York City Department of Education’s policy on “no toy guns” should be commended, I am sure that a two inch toy gun, that is part of a Lego play set, was not what they had in mind when the policy was written.

Ms. Matroianni should be suspended; in fact she should be fired. Her actions were more disruptive and harmful to the students than the LEGO toy.

There really is no shortage of idiots in this world.

Have They All Gone Mad?

Disgraced New York Governor Eliot Spitzer was a guest speaker at a Harvard University ethics forum this past Thursday, November 12, 2009.

Let that sink in for a second. Eliot Spitzer was a guest speaker at an ETHICS forum.

Perhaps Lawrence Lessig, the faculty director of the Edmond J. Safra Foundation Center for Ethics, was absent the day Eliot Spitzer resigned his position as governor in disgrace.

Perhaps Lawrence Lessig missed the part where Spitzer admitted to frequenting high priced hookers.

Perhaps Lessig didn’t realize that Spitzer disgraced his wife and his family.

Websters dictionary defines ethics as: a set of moral principles, the principles of conduct governing an individual or a group.

What does this say to the students at Harvard? What does it say for Lessig and Harvard University? What does it say for us as a society?

Lack of integrity is lack of integrity. Eliot Spitzer has no integrity.

The only people Eliot Spitzer should be discussing ethics with are other johns and hookers.

Have they all gone mad?
