We Call This Democracy?

with one comment

Rasmussen reports, as of December 14, 2009, that 56% of U.S. voters now oppose the Health Care Reform bill. Yet the United States Senate is poised to shove it down the throats of the America people by Christmas.

Democracy?

With the passing of this bill, Barack Hussein Obama will go down in the annals of history as the greatest confidence man of all time. Congress and the Senate, nothing more than two bit shills. Like fast talking street hawkers trying to convince their mark, the American people, that they will be the real winners and come out ahead.

Surely any educated person should, and must ask themselves; Why is something that we are being told is so important being rushed?

You wouldn’t buy a car from a used car salesman who told you that the deal must be done right NOW. Don’t think about it. Don’t discuss it with anyone. Sign the deal NOW.

Yet, this bill, which has the potential to change the course of United States history; has the potential to impact every single man, woman and child in this country, born and unborn, MUST BE PASSED NOW, BEFORE CHRISTMAS.

Why?

Once again, the president, Congress, and the Senate forget that:

“Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,…”

God Bless the United States of America.
God Help Us.

  1. Did you criticize Republicans six months ago for their opposition to healthcare reform when it was supported by a large majority? Are you willing to recant if — and who knows if this will happen — the act becomes popular after it is implemented, as is often the case (e.g., Medicare)?

In short, do you believe that legislation should be governed solely by popular opinion? I do not.
